Months ago I calld the DEAD the most unoriginal original band that there ever was. Google claimed that they covered over 80 songs and then some one chimed in and said there were more than 300 covers.Now w/ BMI and ASCAP as the watchdog for the publishes it is kinda leaning that the Dead to pay royalties,how much and how often who knows. Does it go by live performance or radio play,album sales, in any case one could see that to sustain just the royalty pkg they had to tour more w/bigger and sometimes better sounding p.a.s....
